29th September 2009 Cheshire Board
We played our annual game against Watford for the Cheshire Board and retained it, by the narrowest of margins. Teamwork decided the outcome: Watford defaulted two boards despite being at home while Ed Magee turned out at a couple of hours notice to win on board 20. Click here for result.
21st Sept 2009 Simultaneous Match
IM Paul Littlewood took on the might of the St Albans again this year and again had a crushing victory. Club Captains Simon Roe and Jeremy Fraser-Mitchell were the only winners, with 5 other members managing to draw, making the final result Paul Littlewood 19.5 - 4.5 St Albans.
